Japan Announces Automatic Renewal March 24, 2011— The Immigration Bureau of Japan has announced expatriates, with legal status of residence expiring between March 11 and August 30, who are living in Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ibaraki prefectures will automatically receive extensions to August 31, 2011. In order to qualify for this concession, expatriates with residency expiring during this time must have their Alien Registration Cards registered in the qualifying prefectures. |
