AIReS Achieves ISO 14001 Certification

June 26, 2007 – Pittsburgh, PA – AIReS is pleased to announce that it has achieved ISO 14001 certification.  The global relocation company received this certification due to its high level of commitment to practicing business in an environmentally-responsible manner.  AIReS is the first US-based relocation company to earn this certification.

“AIReS is very honored to be awarded this certification and excited to be the first US-based relocation company to earn this achievement,” said Bryan Putt, President of AIReS.  “As a member of the global business community, we understand the importance of preserving and protecting the environment through responsible business practices.  This certification is proof that, not only do we have internal standards in place, but that the International Organization for Standardization has recognized and approved our efforts,” Putt continued.

Recycling, distributing electronic copies of documents instead of paper copies, and encouraging employees to telecommute to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are all examples of AIReS’ environmental initiatives.  ISO 14001certification confirms that AIReS has stringent standards in place through which the company monitors and measures its use of environmental resources. 

“AIReS has been involved with ISO for many years; we achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in 1994,” confirmed Laura May Carmack, AIReS’ Quality Assurance Facilitator.  “By achieving their 14001 certification, we provide proof to our clients, partners and employees that the company is actively involved in programs that help protect the environment and our natural resources,” Carmack continued.
