AIReS will arrange for all required home inspections and provide the inspection reports to the transferee, reviewing them thoroughly so that the transferee is fully aware of the expectations for corrections, as determined by the Guaranteed Buyout, Buyer Value Option or Marketing Assistance Program in your relocation policy. We will also put this in writing to the employee, along with copies of the inspection reports noting the required repairs. This often includes a general home, termite, and radon warranty. If the home is older than 10 years, we would recommend a roof inspection. If the home is not on public sewer and water, a septic and well inspection are recommended. These are the inspections a well-informed buyer would order and may help avoid additional expense by determining repair issues during the evaluation process.
AIReS also supplies a guide for the employee that includes tips for preparing their home for the appraisal and inspection process.
